Biography
Guido Vanherpe graduated with a Master in Applied Economic Sciences from the UFSIA (University of Antwerp) in 1985, followed by a DESS in Applied Marketing from the Université Aix-Marseille (France) in 1986 and an MBA from Indiana University Bloomington (USA) in 1988.
Mr Vanherpe started his career at Procter & Gamble in 1988 as an Assistant Brand Manager. In 1989, he joined Unilever Belgium (Hartog) where he spent four years as Sales & Marketing Manager of the Unilever Chilled Foods Division. In 1993, Mr Vanherpe moved to La Lorraine Bakery Group as Marketing & Sales Manager and became CEO in 1995. He is also a member of the Board of Directors.
Guido Vanherpe also sits on the board of Degroof Petercam NV as an independent director and chairman of the nomination committee. He also holds board positions in the Federation of the Belgian Food Industry (FEVIA) and International Association of Industrial Bakeries (AIBI).
